THE CITY OF DUCKTOWN will be conducting a public meeting on July 17th at City Hall starting at 6:30 pm. to receive public input concerning the redevelopment and improvements of our Downtown Main Street District. This will be the first of a series of meetings; all interested citizens and community residents are urged to attend.

MODEL RAILROAD The July Model Railroad Open House at The Historic Depot located in Mineral Bluff, GA at 150 Railroad Avenue will be held from 9am to 12 noon on Saturday July 19th. The Tri-State Model Railroaders invite you to see HO scale trains operating through excellent scenery and passing by unique structures representing railroading in the North Georgia Mountains during the early 1950’s. No admission is charged but donations toward continued work on the model railroad and towards Depot maintenance are gratefully accepted. A VERY GOOD PLACE to Art featuring paintings, drawings, and pottery by students and instructors of AACA visual arts classes. The work can be viewed at The Arts Center, 320 North White Street, Athens, Tennessee, from June 23 – July 31, 2014. This exhibit gives local art students an opportunity to show what they have created as a part of art classes at The Arts Center.
