The Ducktown City Commission met Thursday January 2nd with all members present. The agenda was fairly short with only two new business items to be discussed. The items consisted of a beer board appointment and a budget revision.
The first item on the agenda was the budget revision. The revision would add the main street project grant and the city’s required match. The grant is in the amount of $397,927.70 and the City’s match for the project grant is set at $119,000. The budget was approved by the city Commission meeting no resistance. The second and last item on the agenda was a Beer Board appointment. The Commission appointed Ginger Cole as a new member to the board.
The City of Ducktown will also be holding a workshop in January 14th at 6:00 P.M. and a Planning Commission meeting on January 16th at 6:30 P.M.
The city of Benton’s Commission Met on January 2nd with no new business items on the agenda therefore the meeting was opened and closed with no further discussion until the next City Commission meeting.
