Darlene Marie Byrd, age 67, of Ducktown, TN passed away Monday, December 24, 2012. Darlene was a native of the Copper Basin area. She was a daughter of the late James Cleo and Lois Marie Mashburn Byrd. She was a licensed cosmetologist having owned and operated Ducktown Beauty Shop many years ago. She was a member of the McCaysville Church of Christ.

She is survived by siblings, James E. Byrd (Sue Cheatham) of Ducktown, TN and Sheila (Bobby) Loudermilk of Blue Ridge, GA; nieces and nephews, Casey (Jennifer) Loudermilk, Brian (Brandy) Byrd, Hannah (Chris) Mullinax; great nieces and nephews, Annabelle Byrd, Clara Byrd and Evan Loudermilk.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, December 27^th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Minister Bill Johnston and Minister Keith Ritchie officiating. Pallbearers were  Brian Byrd, Casey Loudermilk, Scott Nicholson, L.W. Smith, Jerry Williams and Don Dilbeck. Interment followed in the Zion Hill church cemetery.
