Roger Lee Allen, Jr., age 43, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 in Blue Ridge, GA.  Mr. Allen was born in Polk County, TN on November 8, 1969.  He worked as a truck driver for Blue Ridge Stone and was a member of Freedom Fellowship Church.

    He is survived by his son, Scott Rose of Acworth, GA; daughter, Natasha Allen of Athens, GA; mother, Carolyn Allen of Blue Ridge; father, Roger Lee Allen, Sr. of Blue Ridge; brother, Jason S. Allen of Blue Ridge; sister and brother-in-law, Tonya R. and Denny Cook of Blue Ridge, GA; and a niece, Katlin Waters.

    Funeral services were conducted Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Leonard Hunter, Rev. William Ashe, and Rev. Denny Hawkins officiating.  Music was by Joey Cook, Denny Cook, and Melissa Whitlow.  Pallbearers were Jason S. Allen, Kevin Franklin, Stacy Allen, Glenn Dilbeck, Donny Watson, Joe Burk, Matthew Dilbeck, Scott Rose, and Chad Stephens.  Honorary pallbearers were James Miller and Bobby Allen.  Interment followed in New Antioch Church Cemetery.
