66, of Athens, TN

June Lynnell "Lynn" Hester McKeehan, age 66 of Athens went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2013 at Life Care Center of Athens. A native of Polk County and resident of Athens most of her life, she was preceded in death by her loving father, Ralph Hester.

She was a member of Eastanallee Baptist, was co-owner of Don's Food Center for over 20 years with her husband. Nothing meant more to her than her Faith and Family and she was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother and a dear Daughter and Sister. She had a passion for scrapbooking and geneology.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Donald Henry McKeehan; her loving and caring mother, Levena Yates Hester, of Athens; 2 sons and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Diana McKeehan of Athens; Chad D. McKeehan of Athens; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Kent Bridges   of Athens; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Eddie and Susie Hester  of Athens; Jimmy and Pat Hester  of Nashville; 5 grandchildren who brought her the most joy, Jordon K. Bridges, Taylor K. Bridges, Cole McKeehan, Cade McKeehan and Corbin McKeehan; Several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; Special family, Kourtney Burris and Robert Nelson.

Funeral Services will be 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 3, 2013 in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Oran Creasman.  Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, January 4, 2013 at McMinn Memory Gardens.  Active pallbearers will be Robert Nelson, Scottie McKeehan, Jeff Stone, Travis Bridges, Rob McKinney, Dustin Long, Joe Swafford and Logan McKheean.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Chattanooga at T.C. Thompsons, 200 Central Ave., Chattanooga, TN 37403 or the McMinn-Meigs Alzheimer's Support Group, c/o Linda Garza, 714 Cartwright St., Athens, TN 37303.
