58, of Farner

Mrs. Deborah Jean Hicks, age 58, of Farner, TN passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 in the Copper Basin Medical Center in Ducktown, TN.  She was born in Bradley County, TN on July 19, 1954.  Mrs. Hicks worked for ADH Manufacturing as a seamstress and was of the Baptist faith.  She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Worthy. 

     She is survived by her husband, T.J. Hicks of Farner, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Jason Edward Baldwin and Sherri Baldwin of Copperhill, TN; daughters, Krystal Minnick of Farner, TN and Stephanie Smith of Hiawassee Dam, NC; her mother, Willie Worthy of Farner; sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Jim Womble of Farner; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

     Funeral services were held Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Smith officiating.  Music was by Nakema Smith, Sonya Akins, and Isaac Smith.  Pallbearers were Corey Baldwin, Dakota Key, Isaac Smith, Brandon Smith, Ben Key, and Josh Hooper.  Honorary pallbearers were Shawn Key and Terry Walker.  Interment followed in Brock Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.  Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill was in charge of arrangements.
