Sincerely,
Faculty and Staff of Benton Elementary

Dear Editor,

This column is so often used to air complaints or denigrate someone. I want to use it to express my thanks and love to a wonderful couple—Jerrell and Katherine Fowler. Jerrell’s mother was in possession of a round mirror encased in wood with spindles around it that originally belonged to my mother, Ethelean Howard.
Kathy had always admired the mirror and hoped to someday hang it in a hallway in her home. She eventually received the mirror and Jerrell worked long hours stripping it of many coats of paint to reveal beautiful wood. Kathy looked at it one day and decided that it should go back to the family of the original owner.
They presented me with mother’s mirror and among many tears of joy I could not adequately express my feelings and thanks. This mirror will be handed down to my son, Howard Deverell, and to his daughter, Darvee Deverell, etc. I want our community of Ocoee and Polk County to know of this truly unselfish act of kindness and love that the Fowlers have exhibited.
Jerrell and Katherine—I love you and thank you from the bottom of my heart. May God continue to bless both of you with good health, happiness, peace, love, family and friends.

Sincerely,
Opal Deverell.
