79, of Turtletown
George Henry McLaughlin, III, age 79, of Turtletown,
Tennessee died Friday, November 23, 2012 in Copper Basin Medical Center. He was
the husband of Eleanor Grace (Kaye) McLaughlin for 60 years.
Born in Bar Harbor, Maine, he was the son of George
H. and Christine (Millikin) McLaughlin. He is survived by his loving wife
Eleanor of 60 years; daughters: Holly, wife of Allen Uhlik of Turtletown,
Tennessee and Janice Nash of Floral City, Florida; sons: Douglas and Jeffrey,
both of Brooksville, Florida and George H. IV and his wife Nancy of Ridge
Manor, Florida. He was the grandfather of 14 and had 4 great-grandchildren. He
is also survived by his brother, Glen McLaughlin of South Carolina. He was
preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Whitlock who died in 2005 and a
granddaughter, Sara Whitlock who died in 1996.
He had a long career as General Foreman Engineer with
Florida Mining. An expert in knowledge of Mechanics, Trucks and Tractors. He
planted a large garden every year for everyone to enjoy its bounty.
He was a faithful Christian whose home was always
open, to his Faith and many, many came and stayed. He was greatly loved and
respected by family and friends and will be deeply missed by all.
Interment for Mr. McLaughlin was in the Brooksville
Cemetery with Turner Funeral Homes, 504 E. Jefferson St., Brooksville, FL in
charge of the arrangements.
