Four attend 4H Roundup
Four Polk County 4-H Members attended the annual 4-H State Roundup held at the University of Tennessee campus in Knoxville July 23rd - 27th. Roundup delegates enjoyed many activities including 4-H project competition, college tours, service projects, a trip to Dollywood and 4-H All Star Campfire. 4-H Members Christine Bear, Chance Firestone, Katie Isbill, and Abigail Firestone attended with 4-H volunteer Rhonda Reynolds. Abigail and Christine competed in the Clothing and Textiles project competition placing sixth and seventh respectively in this state contest! Another Polk County 4-H member, Chance Firestone was awarded the Vol Sate Award during Roundup. Vol State is the highest Honor a 4-H member can achieve in 4-H. 4-H offers programs to youth 4th - 12th grade, to find out more contact the Polk County U.T. Extension office.
