Tennesseans can do their part in promoting good stewardship of the state’s water supply by helping protect our source waters from pollution, practicing water conservation, actively supporting the upkeep of drinking water infrastructure and becoming involved in local water issues.

Highway Patrol (THP) and the Tennessee Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) that
will enable ABC special agents to more quickly gather information regarding
alcohol-related traffic incidents.
ABC
special agents now have access to the Tennessee Integrated Traffic Analysis
Network (TITAN). This law enforcement tool is a centralized data and document
repository for public safety information managed by the Department of Safety
and Homeland Security. ABC special agents may obtain investigative information
on alcohol-related crashes submitted by the THP and other law enforcement
agencies across the state. This information could lead to further investigation
into possible violations of the state’s liquor laws.
“As
chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, I am pleased the two agencies could
come together and arrange for access to TITAN without the need for legislation.
This is a great opportunity to possibly find those selling and serving alcohol
in violation of the state’s liquor laws. This partnership could ultimately save
lives,” Watson said.
“We are
pleased to share the information in TITAN with the special agents in the ABC.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol has increased its DUI enforcement in the past
several months and this partnership could help in our efforts to reduce the
incidents of alcohol-related crashes in Tennessee,” Col. Trott said.
“It is
important for the ABC to get timely and accurate information regarding
alcohol-related crashes. This information will help our special agents conduct
more thorough investigations into establishments that sell and serve alcohol
and potentially assist us find those in breaking the liquor laws,” Elks said.
