On Friday May 4, Copper Basin High School students went to Commerce, Ga to the Atlanta Dragway. The trip included 31 students and 4 teachers everyone was happy and all the rules were followed. The drag races were entertaining and very loud. With plenty of activities around the drag race, everyone got to experience great enjoyment. This event was sponsored by the U.S. Army, who paid for the students $40 tickets as an education program. Before entering the drag race, students listened to Tony Schumacher talk about his choice in career and why he supports the U.S. army in the process. Two other gentlemen also spoke to us why it would be great to join the army and why they did join the army, showing the students that any career could work in the army just as it does in real life.
