Time for Sharing
It’s the season for sharing, and that compassion could be especially important this year. One of the great things about Polk folk is their pitch-in-and-help attitude, whether it’s providing gifts for the needy, fighting fires, or donating to a cause. It’s a good feeling to know that folks care about other folks. We don’t see that everywhere.
While you’re sharing, take some time to share your thoughts as well with our upcoming special issues for Thanksgiving, holiday cooking, and Christmas.
Remind us of all the reasons we have to be thankful regardless of bad news.
Tell us about the holidays of your childhood, how your family coped with a slow economy.
Preserve your family traditions or share funny stories.
Make suggestions about hand-made gifts, which tend to be more treasured than the expensive ones.
Pass your special recipes along for others to enjoy.
Let’s explore all the ways we can share the holiday spirit.
