Creed Robert Sisson, age 83, of Delano, passed away early Saturday morning, November 15, 2008 at his residence. He was a son of the late Bill and Clare Humphrey Sisson. He was a native of McMinn County and resident of McMinn County for most of his life. He was retired from Bowater Southern Paper Corporation. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. He was a member of Delano Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Wendell Sisson; two sisters, Allene Woods and Ermal Loftis; and two sons, Ronnie Sisson and Bobby Sisson.

He is survived by wife, Nancy Elfreda Sisson of Delano; 1 daughter, Delois Ann Johnson of Delano; grandchildren, Sean Sisson, Lynnette Cowart and spouse Chris, Brandon Sisson and spouse B.J. Sisson, Lalenia Hamel, Michelle Gogichaishvili and Samantha Davenport; Great-grandchildren: Bronze Cowart, Brodie Cowart, Noah Cowart, Spencer Sisson and Riley Sisson; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law: Virginia and Jack Carlock of Fredericksburg, VA, Wanda and Frank Pearson of Chattanooga, TN, Shirley and T. R. Moates of Delano; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law: Glenn and Nelsie Sisson of Etowah, Vestal and Martha Sisson of Etowah; special daughter-in-law: Sandy Harris; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 8:00 p.m. November 17, in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Taylor and Rev. Mark Hensley officiating.
