Serge Foster, 17 years old, has seen different things in his young life.  Born in Russia, Serge spent the first few years of his life there. Later, he moved to the United States after being adopted.  His football career started with the Polk County Youth Football and then onto the Polk County High School Football Team in 2006.  Serge has put in a lot of hard work and has become one of the most dedicated players during his three years on the squad.

This spring, during a pre-season game, there was a most unfortunate accident.  During a play Serge’s leg received a spiral fracture.  He has undergone many surgeries, numerous complications, and endured much pain and suffering trying to get back to the game he loves.

During the last week of September, Serge traveled to Greenville, SC and was seen by Orthopedics at Shriners Hospital.  Doctors determined that the damage was beyond repair; to avoid further complications Serge’s leg must be removed.

Serge and his family will be traveling to and from SC, with some of their visits being for extended periods of time.  In order to assist Serge, with his upcoming battle and to help with expenses that will be incurred during his treatment, Polk County Youth Football and the Polk County High School Gridiron Club will be collecting donations at all of their remaining home games.  These two organizations have established a joint account with Serge Foster at Benton Banking Company. Throughout the month of October you can make contributions at any of the Benton Banking locations.  At the end of October the account will be transferred directly to Serge.

We are asking for your prayers and your help in the form of donations. Contributions will assist Serge and his family during his rehabilitation time and is greatly appreciated.
