Water line extensions for Golf Course Road in Isabella and Kimsey Dairy Road in Turtletown are scheduled to begin next week.
Residents of several Copper Basin communities have the opportunity to sign up for public water. Water line extensions for Golf Course Road in Isabella and Kimsey Dairy Road in Turtletown are scheduled to begin next week, so those who live on these roads need to go to the Copper Basin Utility Office to pay the necessary fee for a water meter. The utility district is asking that all eligible customers go to the office to sign up as there have been changes since the original survey was done.
Those who live on a side road are also encouraged to sign up – just in case. Once the main road is done, lines will be put on the side roads if there are still funds available. The district will call if any side roads are to be added to the project.
The standard fee for a water meter is $1,050, but it is only $50 for those qualified as low-to-moderate income. A determination will be made after the application is filed.
The office is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, or call 496-5744 for information.
