Ingram to finish at Lee University

Polk County native Rachel Ingram will get to finish her collegiate gold career where she wanted to start it. Ingram, with one year of eligibility remaining, will play for the newly formed Lady Flame golf team at Lee University.
She had played varsity volleyball and basketball at Polk County High School but fell in love with golf. Since Polk did not have a golf team at the time, Ingram transferred to McMinn County High School.
He collegiate career went from Austin Peay State University to the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and finally to Lee University. She is the first signee for the Lee women’s golf team.
Ingram set a high school state record fpor nine holes with a three under par 34, played in two state tournaments, was Austin Peay’s MVP for the 2005-06 season and has won the consolation championship twice at the Tennessee Women’s State Amateur tournament.
Rachel is the daughter of John and Pollk County Clerk and Master Kim Ingram of Delano.
