Max Jefferson Bruce, age 68, of Bruce Hollow TN, passed away June 13, 2008 in the afternoon at Life Care Center in Copper Basin. Max was born Sunday, April 21, 1940 in Ducktown TN to the late Cecil Edward Bruce and the late Bonnie Dalton Bruce.  Max, worked  several years at the FORD Motor Company in Hapeville, Georgia. At the time of his death, Max owned and operated Bruce Landscaping Co. Max was preceded in death by his son Charles Eric Bruce and a sister Myrtle Louise Breeden of Benton TN.

Survivors include: Ex-Wife Linda Sherwood, His son, Jeff Bruce of Talking Rock, GA. Brothers, Guinn Bruce of Selmar, TN., William "Alley" Bruce of Ducktown, TN, Olin "Pete" Bruce of Oak Ridge TN., Cecil "Sam" Bruce of Dahlonega GA., Sisters, Bobbie Ruth Ashley of Greenville, SC., Marilyn Hamby of Marietta, GA., Patsy Heldt of Grayson, GA. and Scellos Leavins of Winder, GA. One Grandchild and several Nieces and Nephews.

Graveside services were held Monday, June 16, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. in the New Zion Baptist Church (Postelle) Cemetery, Polk County  TN. with the Rev Frank Fisher officiating. Interment followed in the Bruce Family Plot.
