Nora Arp Epperson, age 88, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Benton, died June 9, 2008 in San Antonio. Known as "Ike", she was born on August 14, 1919 to the late A.R."Buck" Arp and the late Nora Collins Arp. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodit Church in San Antonio, and formerly a member of Benton United Methodist Church. She was preceded in geath by three sisters and two brothers.

 Survivors include a daughter, Jeannie Chavez of Temple,Texas, and a son, Charlie Epperson of Commerce, Texas, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

 She retired from the city of San Antonio in 1983, and earned a BA degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1993.

   A memorial service was held on June 13, at First United Methodist Church of Temple, Texas.
