Gregory Scott Burnett, age 41, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008. He was born in Gilmer County, GA and was employed with Action Towing as a Tow Truck Driver. He was preceded in death by his father, James Burnett.

Survivors include his wife, Dee Burnett of Blue Ridge, GA; two sons, Jeremy Burnett and Jefferey Burnett, both of Fairmount, GA; a daughter, Elizabeth Paige Burnett of Blue Ridge, GA; mother, Margie Abercrombie Davis of Copperhill; four brothers, Lynn and wife, Teresa Abercrombie of Postelle, Stacy Davis of Copperhill, James Davis of Newnan, GA, Doug Burnett of Blue Ridge, GA; one sister, Karen Cook of Calhoun, GA; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted June 11, at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Richard Peacock and Rev. Kevin Dilbeck officiating. Pallbearers included Matthew Gibson, Ted Gibson, Doug Burnett, Jim Loftis, Daniel Brown and Bobby Sayers. Interment followed in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill was in charge of the arrangements.
